3 days from Fes Marrakech to the desert Merzouga

Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Errachidia – Merzouga

Today’s Day 3 Fes Marrakech Tour will start around 8 am from Fez to Merzouga. We will pass through the town of Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco to the Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests of Azrou. We stop to see monkeys in the middle of the forest. The circuit continues to Midelt where we will have lunch. We will reach the Ziz valley and its gorges. You will visit the blue spring of Meski. Also, fossil workshops for the manufacture of all kinds of products. We will finally arrive in Merzouga at the end of the afternoon. After a break and mint tea in front of the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will go on camelback to spend the night under the stars in a luxurious and private bivouac.

Day 2 : Merzouga – Rissani – Gorges de Todra – Gorges de Dades

Awakening so early today in order to watch the sunrise over the dune tops of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, depart for the Dades Gorge. The first stop will be in the former imperial city of Morocco “Rissani.” It is an economic center of the region and a site of many historical monuments of the Alawite dynasty. You will have the opportunity to visit the bustling local market and its historical monuments. Afterwards, we will continue our trek to the impressive Todra canyons, known for their climbing. You will go for a walk under the gorges with high cliffs. At lunch, we head to the Dades Gorge via the Thousand Kasbahs route. You will visit huge Kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of these casbahs are old fortified houses that have been restored. Overnight stay and accommodation will be in the Dades valley.

Day 3 : Gorges dades – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

The private circuit in Morocco continues in the beautiful valley of roses in Kalaat M’gouna. We will visit local workshops that produce products extracted from roses. The trip continues to the Sekoura Oasis to visit the Kasbah of Amredil. Continuation to Ouarzazate “Morocco’s Hollywood” and the film industry. We will visit the film studios where many films were shot such as: Gladiator and The Mummy. On the way to Marrakech, we will visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, one of the most exotic and preserved sites in the Atlas region. The Kasbah has been declared a UNESCO protected site since 1987 and offers magnificent views of the surrounding palm trees. Arrival in Marrakech will be the end of the afternoon; we will accompany you to your riad in the old medina near Jamaa Lafna Square.
